ISRN Team Participates in BIRD Lucknow Training to Enhance FPO Governance and Leadership Capacity

We are proud to share that ISRN continues to invest in capacity building of CEOs, Board of Directors, and Project Officers engaged with our FPOs.
Our Program Officer, along with an FPO CEO and Accountant, participated in a 3-day residential training (16–18 February 2026) at the Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD), Lucknow.
The Programme brought together FPO leaders, CBBOs, bankers, and National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) officials for deep learning on agricultural trade, financial management, governance, and sustainable FPO development.
Field visits to successful, self-reliant FPOs added powerful practical exposure and best practice insights.
At ISRN, we remain committed to strengthening farmer institutions through continuous learning, leadership development, and collaborative growth.
Empowering Farmers for Global Markets

ISRN successfully conducted a Capacity Building & Sensitization Program on Agri Export for SFAC supported FPOs — Shri Mahasu Devta Chakrata FPC Ltd. and Shri Bhadraj Sahaspur FPC Ltd.
30+ farmers actively participated in an engaging session on export procedures, quality standards, certification, packaging, and documentation, while exploring global market opportunities and institutional support from agencies like APEDA.
The session highlighted how direct export linkages can improve price realization, reduce dependency on middlemen, and open new growth avenues. With expert guidance and continuous handholding, our FPOs are confidently expanding into national and international markets — contributing to stronger rural enterprises and sustainable farmer prosperity.
By enabling farmers to access global value chains, we are advancing inclusive economic growth and taking meaningful steps toward the vision of Viksit Bharat.

Agriculture was a key focus area at the C20 Sewa Summit, highlighting the importance of sustainable farming practices, rural empowerment, and food security. Experts and grassroots leaders came together to discuss innovative solutions for strengthening the agricultural sector, promoting organic farming, supporting small and marginal farmers, and integrating traditional knowledge with modern techniques. Emphasizing the role of Sewa in agriculture, the sessions underscored the need for collaborative efforts to ensure environmental sustainability and uplift farming communities—truly reflecting the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
