Ashish Mansharamani: Associate Director

Mr. Ashish is a champion of Green Economy and right now he is working with us as an Associate Director. He aims to understand better the links between carbon emissions and climate action in India. He received his training in Research and Communication under the guidance of the Former President of India, the Late Shri Pranab Mukherjee from 2017-2019, and Former Governor of Uttarakhand Dr. K.K.Paul from 2019-2022. He first studied Climate Change in the polar regions at the Scott Polar Research Institute, Cambridge, UK in 2008 and since then he has been extensively working in the field of SDGs, Environmental Policy Making, Climate Action, and so on. Prior to joining ISRN, he also worked in various capacities in Wipro, HCL, and Pranab Mukherjee Foundation and as a consultant with Scienpsur- A EdTech Project.
Supporting projects such as Climate Prediction dot net Experiment with Oxford University, Fog Harvesting Systems in Nepal, and UN Ecosystem Restoration across Asia, he has co-authored 2 books on Climate and Democracy and several articles and papers on the environment in different publications.
He was recognized and awarded in August 2021 by Dr. Jane Goodall, UNEP Climate Ambassador as a UNEP Community Restorer for being instrumental in planting 11,400 trees in across the globe. He is passionate to ensure that sustainable approaches lead to positive outcomes for Human well-being and the Restoration of our Planet. He loves to read and write about climate fiction during his spare time.
