Monitoring and evaluation

An innovative way to choose members was designed by the forum to ensure that all the members involved in the network have an intention to work for the community development. This system would also ensure greater accountability and transparency by its monitoring and evaluations, not just while including a member but even in the process of their continued tenure and relation with the network.

The various stages of checks and balances would include:

  • A detailed background of the member, which would involve evaluating their proposals, objectives and vision, the area as well as the issues they work on, or if it's a start-up, the feasibility of their creative and innovative ideas and their intentions to work towards it would be analyzed.
  • It would then involve an evaluation of their skills and expertise together with their weak points that would need the forum's assistance.
  • There would even be a need assessment of the members, to validate their skills and expertise to enable them to get better assistance from the forum.
  • The budget and finance that they have and needs of financial assistance from the network , if any
  • The forum would keep its stand clear on providing financial assistance in phases to ensure proper and exhaustive utilization of it by the members
  • There would be monitoring of both the work as well as the developments in the areas of intervention, after every quarter
  • The forum would carry out financial and social audits to ensure no misappropriation of funds takes place and would require them to publish annual reports of their work for better accountability.
  • The reports for better evaluation would be uploaded on public domain to ensure greater transparency.
  • The members would even be required to develop an MIS which would help them and the monitoring evaluation team of the forum to keep records of all good practices and successful networks which could be used both as examples and as credibility of members.

ISRN provides a platform to all its members to share their experiences, best practices, innovations, expertise on the public domain.
